The Riot And The Meme Wave

Two waves in one month, and the gap between them is the whole page.

The French Wukong wave is the second wave of October 2026, and it is not the first one. The first wave is the street - the protests of the nineteenth and twentieth of the month that moved through the city and turned into the riots, the kind the reporting of the month logged in the local languages before the lane got to them. The second wave is the door: the clip of the employee at the storefront, the pose, the poster in the window, and the nickname that stuck - the one that made the two waves the same story in the lane. The gap between the two is the whole page: the first wave is the run of threats, and the second is the guard that stands in front of it, and the game version plays the second wave as the run the first one sent through.

The logging kept the gap open. The lane's own entry on the wave ran in the fourth and fifth weeks of the month - a short one, the kind that describes the clip and the nickname and the re-enactments that followed, and not the riot that made the clip. That is the gap the game is built on: the lane got the second wave late, and got it without the first one, so the page fills the first half of the story - the run of threats that the street sent - and the second half - the guard that stood in front of it - is the pose. The camp on the card is the two halves in one number: how long the guard held, and which kind of run it held against.

Why the re-enactments outlived the riot. The month's own shape is the tell: the riot ended on the day the clip started, and the clip kept running after the street was gone. The re-enactments of the fourth week - the door, the pose, the same order of the three things - are the wave's own second wave, and they are the reason the game version is not about the riot at all. It is about the guard: the storefront is a stand-in for the real one, the threats are the run the street sent, and the ki meter is the wave's own tell for the moment the guard stops being a click and starts being the pose. The card is the seconds of the hold, and the camp says which half of the month the run belongs to.
