French Wukong Guide
A real door, a real poster, and a meme wave with an English gap - the game version of holding the storefront.
Where the name came from. The October 2026 wave runs off one real moment: a French game-shop employee standing in the doorway of his store while the riots of the month moved through the street, and the clip that spread of him with his arms up - the same pose as the dragon-ball hero on the poster behind the shop window. The wave's nickname is the one that stuck in the lane: French Wukong, the hero of the October riot that ended up being the person who stood at the door. The reporting that logged it ran in the fourth and fifth weeks of the month, mostly in the local languages, and the lane's own summary of the wave: a real door, a real poster, and the pose that made the two the same image.
The meme wave, and its gap. The clip did the work of the pose: the door, the arms up, and the poster behind the window, and the wave's own replies read it as the hero of the month - not the one who threw the first thing, the one who stood where the street met the shop. The English side of the lane got the wave late, and the logging of it (a short entry, the same two weeks) kept the gap the game version is built on: no English page that plays the pose itself, the door and the arms up and the run of threats that the street sends. The game is that page - the storefront is a stand-in for the real one, the pose is the guard, and the run of threats is the street that kept coming through the month.
The card. The run is as long as the hold: the threats come from four directions - left, right, up-left, up-right - and the guard is the click on the threat before it reaches the door. The ki meter is the wave's own tell: enough clean guards and the run goes into the super mode, the wider guard and the slower threats, the pose the poster was made for. The card is the seconds of the hold and the guard count, and the camp on it says which kind of run the month would have filed: the top camp held past the super, the mid camp held through it, and the bottom camp is the run the door had to close on.
