The Move, the Circle, the Crowd

Three objects, and the order they arrived

What the South Gave

The move came first, and it came from the south, the countries where the circle started, where two people face off and the move is the weapon, the shout that is a word and a launch, the jaw that is a stillness, the hand that does not mean what it does. The south is where the format learned its first rule, that the move is a commitment and the commitment is the point, and that is the rule that survived every other detail, because the move is the only thing in the format that the crowd can read from outside the circle.

What the Summer Gave

The circle came with the summer, when the format stopped being a fight and started being a show, the two of them in the middle and the crowd on the edge, the applause as the score and the round as the unit. The summer is where the game became a thing that happens to you instead of a thing that happens between two, because the crowd is a third player that does not pick a move, and the third player is the one that changed the numbers, the way the applause counts the difference and the difference is what the round is won with.

What the Plaza Gave

Our simulation keeps the three objects in their order, the move you pick, the circle the opponent sits in, and the crowd that counts the difference, and the round is the unit where the three of them meet, the same way they meet in the plaza, and the same way the numbers in the card are read, the move first, the crowd second, and the repeat, which is the third, last.

Run the Rounds

Best of three against a generated opponent, the applause counting every difference, the repeat move losing on the third pick, and the crowd that punishes the bet that stopped being a bet. The card keeps the record, the aura points, and the move that carried you, which is the number the plaza reads last.
