Clock It vs. Clocked
The reader and the read
Same family, two halves. Clocked is being seen through. Clock it is doing the seeing. One is the person on the other side of the table. The other is the one holding the clock.
The Two Halves
- Clocked - the read lands on you. The room already knows and you did not. The "one step behind" side.
- Clock it - the read lands on them. You caught the tell before it was caught. The "I have it" side.
Where They Meet
The two words are the same move from two seats at the same table. A game is a clock-it for the reader and a clocked for the player at the same second. That is why the family is all speed - the whole word is about who caught the tell first. In the clock it race you feel which seat you are in: the one being read, or the one doing the reading.
