What Does Clock It Mean?

Clock it is the 2026 word for the moment you see through someone before they know you saw. It is the tell landing on you and you reading it in the same second. Not a slow "I think that was off." It is the fast one - the clock on the wall, you catch the second and the person did not.

Where It Comes From

It is the active half of the clocked family. Clocked is being read. Clock it is doing the reading - marking the move on the clock before the player marks it on you. The word is the speed. A slow read is just a suspicion. The clock is the "I have it, I can say it, you did not know I had it" read.

The Two Uses

• "Clock it" - a call, "look at that, they just gave it away."
• "I clocked it" - the brag, "I saw it before they did."

The Read

Not every read is fast enough to be a clock. A suspicion is a guess. A clock is the read that landed the instant the tell showed. In the clock it race you feel how quickly a tell can be caught, and whether the read is fast enough to count.
