Grading the Softness
Least to most, before the timer
Not every frame is equally weirdly pretty. Some just land soft. Some stop you. The whole game is the difference: six everyday frames come up and you order them, least to most, by how softly they land without anyone meaning it to.
The Three Grades
- The pass. A frame you would have scrolled past. Nothing on it, the light just happened to fall flat.
- The soft. One quiet note - a warm color in a cold frame, a window catching the morning - that makes you look back a half second.
- The stop. The one you cannot get past. The empty subject and the wrong color meet, and the whole frame just sits there.
Why Order, Not Pick
Picking the single most beautiful frame is easy - everyone finds the same one. The read that is actually a skill is the distance between them. How far apart are the pass and the stop? That gap is what the timer measures. In the weirdly pretty card game you get the sort, not the pick, and the card you end with says how clean your feel for the distance was.
