Living on the Ladder
The distance is the whole game
The easy version is to fly high and clear everything. That is not the game - that is just a car, minus the joke. The ladder only pays out in the low band: ride the slow lane and you bank the taunt, the whole point of the meme. But the low band is where the drones and signs run, so you are always negotiating a distance. Not the right altitude as a number, but the right risk as a feeling.
The Three Zones
- Glued - you are in the traffic, banking the taunt, one clip away from a clip yourself.
- Safe band - you clear the low-air clutter and still look like the float.
- Lost - so high you are just a car now, and the whole thing stopped being funny.
Reading the Gaps
The instinct is to dodge threats as they come. The better read is to watch the space between them - the low band is only open in the gaps, so you are choosing where to live on the ladder, not just where to run to. A clean run through several gaps in a row is what earns the flip, the little show-off turn that is the reward for staying close.
How To Play
Step 1. Hold low to bank the taunt.
Step 2. Lift for the low-air clutter.
Step 3. Come back down into the gaps.
Step 4. Stay out of the lost zone.
Step 5. A clean stretch earns the flip.
Step 6. Log your flight report.
