Anatomy of a Ragebait Post
It is not making a point. It is fishing for the "how dare you".
The bait line: "Overtime is actually a blessing" - a claim so inflated that the correct response is not agreement but a wall of furious rebuttal. Every reply is engagement. The poster wanted the pile-on, not the discussion.
The second wave: the post dies after the first pile-on. Then the debunking arrives, and the debunkers generate a second, bigger pile-on - this time of people annoyed at the debunkers. The ragebait poster cashes in on both.
The tell: real opinion posts make a claim and can be answered. Ragebait makes a claim no reasonable person would stake their credibility on - which is the whole point. You are reading the bait, not reading the argument.
