About the Ragebait Maker

Ragebait is a finalist for Germany's 2026 youth word of the year: content engineered to make you angry. The maker plays all three moves - you pick an audience, crank the anger dial and watch the bait mutate; you run a fake comment section and predict which comment the platform boosts to the top; then the detection challenge hands you real-looking posts and you call bait from genuine before the card prints your sensitivity score.

How to Play

Each round: choose a target (parents, coworkers, internet strangers, the boss), set the dial from 1 (mild tease) to 5 (full ragebait), read the mutated post, then tap the fake comment you think wins the top slot. After five rounds the card shows your bait-reading accuracy and your top-comment record.

Why Predicting the Top Comment Is the Hard Part

The algorithm does not reward the correct comment. It rewards the comment that keeps the scroll moving - usually the one that performs the most outrage with the least substance. That gap between "what is true" and "what goes viral" is the entire insight of the trend, and it is the whole game.
