The Willpower Budget
Every restart action costs self-control. The board only holds so many at once.
The budget rule: one habit change a week is sustainable. Two is aggressive. Three is how most October Theory posts quietly end in November. The simulator makes that visible - every action you add drains a willpower meter, and when it hits zero the board breaks.
The "promises again" ending: when you cram four goals into three months and the meter dies, the game hands you the most accurate October Theory failure of all - the reset that gets posted as motivation and never executed.
The winning shape: two big goals plus one small habit. The small habit is what keeps the meter alive long enough for the two big ones to actually land.
