The Combo Multiplier
Where the real points are
A single clean read is worth little - it is the chain of reads that pays. The multiplier climbs with every move you get right in a row, and it is the reason the game is a test of holding, not answering. You can be right on average and still lose, if the rights are scattered; the combo is the difference between showing up and showing up in one continuous run.
The Pull Against the Pool
- The combo wants you fast - each clean read adds to the streak.
- The pool wants you careful - a miss costs a slice of it.
- They are in tension: the faster the combo, the riskier the pool.
The Only Ending
There is no draw. If the pool hits zero the run ends and the read is coasted. Everything you banked - the multiplier, the clean streak - is how far up you got before the pool gave out. That is the card you take home: not a score, a height.
How To Play
Step 1. Call the gain, call the loss, fast.
Step 2. Chain clean reads for the multiplier.
Step 3. Slow down only when the pool is thin.
Step 4. One miss resets the combo and cuts the pool.
Step 5. Ride the run before it runs out.
Step 6. Log your net aura.
