We Don't Play Games Guide

The line for operating on a level you are not even touching.

Where the line lives: "You play games, we don't play games" is the confrontational dimension strike - the answer you give when the other side is moving on a level you stopped playing on ages ago. It is not "you are losing." It is "that move is not a move in the game I am in."

The three tiers: everything in these exchanges sits on one of three levels. Casual is the warm-up - friendly, reversible, no stakes. Competitive is the real contest - rules, pressure, a winner. And We Don't Play is the strike - the side that has already moved up, where the other person's whole strategy is not on the board anymore.

The game: the game-level judge drops a clash - an argument, a haggle, a standoff - and you have three seconds to call which tier it is actually on. Most of the fun is the gap between how it looks and how it is being played. Build your call count, keep the streak, and pull the strike card.
