The Flashback Test
What actually peaks a year
Everyone has a version of the year they would retell. The trick is that the version you would actually retell is rarely the one that was biggest on the day. It is the one that changed the shape of what came after - the moment that was quiet in the moment and only lit up later. That is the flashback, and it is the thing the game is scoring.
Turns, Not Numbers
- A number is the pay check, the view count, the size of the place.
- A turn is the day you stopped performing it, or finally said the thing.
- Turns are the ones you rewind to; numbers are the ones you file away.
The Distractors
The wrong answers are built from loud numbers on purpose, because that is exactly what you would reach for on the day. The quiet answer is usually there, dressed plainly, and it is the one that peaks. That is the whole skill of the game: not picking the biggest thing in the room.
How To Play
Step 1. Four moments land, one is the flash.
Step 2. Call the one you would actually rewind to.
Step 3. Resist the loudest-looking distractor.
Step 4. Reads clean to keep the streak.
Step 5. A clean run earns the "peak read".
Step 6. End with your own peak line.
