The Fabric Ladder

From the first round to the final card

The whole duel is one ladder, and you climb it in rounds. A round lost is only one rung down - the fabric you have is not taken, just the run is broken. The thing to keep an eye on is not the current round but the ladder: how many rungs you have banked, because that is how much cloth you are allowed to show on the next posture.

Reading the Opponent

The other maid is not random - she is reading you. If you lean on one posture too long, the round after the reset is the one where it stops working. That is the moment to switch, and the switch itself is a menace, because changing the threat mid-fight is the least polite thing there is.

How To Play

Step 1. Commit to the posture that flexes hardest.

Step 2. Let the counter decide the round.

Step 3. Keep the run for the fabric.

Step 4. Switch when one posture stops reading.

Step 5. Two rounds takes it.

Step 6. Take the menace card home.
