What Does Clocked Mean?
The 2026 word for "got seen through"
Clocked is the 2026 word for got seen through. Your tell, your play, your bluff, your vibe - all of it read by someone watching. When you are clocked, the room already knows what you are doing and you did not realize.
Where It Comes From
The root is "clocking" something - seeing it, catching it, marking it on the clock. A clock does not miss. When a player clocks you, they have put your move on the board and you are one step behind it already. It is the opposite of a clean read.
The Two Uses
- Been clocked - your tell showed, someone read you, you did not notice in time.
- You clocked me - you did it, and now I know you know.
The Read
Not every slip is a full clock. A small tell is almost. A full clock is "you are done and they are waiting for you to show it." In the clocked read-off you call which of the three a moment is doing - clean, almost, or fully seen through.
