How To Land The Boo

The face is three settings and a commitment. Everything else is logistics.

The reason the Boo Trend face is readable from a distance is that it is built from three settings that can be dialed independently: how far the eyes ride toward the nose, how wide and how lopsided the mouth goes, and how much of the frame the head is taking. Most first attempts fail at the commitment, not the mechanics - two dials up, one polite, and the face ends up a suggestion instead of a scare. The order that works: cross-eye first, because the eyes carry the word; mouth second, because it carries the volume; and the lurch last, because it ends the video and there is no coming back from it.

The honest line. The prank wave is the fun half of the trend, and the honest half is the same rule every time: the joke is the face, not the person. A victim who is comfortable doing the face with you stays the second performer. A victim who gets pulled into it while they are not in on the setup is the whole video - and the line between those two is whether they could have said no mid-lean. The format works because the cut is fast and the face is harmless; past the point where the cut becomes the only thing that saves them, it stops being a trend and starts being a clip about one person's bad week.

Solo, camera-free, and the number. The page's game plays the commitment test without a camera and without a second person: five expression targets, three seconds each, the three sliders doing the work the face would have done. The Boo index at the end is the commitment score - which camp you landed in is the same question the wave keeps asking. The invite button is the wave's own last frame, pointed at you: the setup, the lean, and the reveal.
