Two words that are really a personality read: how you take the absurd on the chin.
Where it came from: "wow ok" is the two-word answer people started pasting onto any absurd statement - "wow" is the gasp, "ok" is the commit. One word says "that is a lot", the next says "I am going to run with it anyway". It spread because everyone has one and they read completely differently depending on who says them.
Why it is a read, not a phrase: "wow" first is the open one - the gasp lands before the processing. "ok" first is the cool one - the commit lands before the surprise even arrives. Same two words, two very different people. That is why it spread: it is a two-word fingerprint.
