Squirrel Waving
A goodbye line lands. Hit the wave on the calm beat - not eager, not late.
Six goodbyes, each a thing that is just leaving. A marker sweeps across the track - press the wave button the moment it crosses the green band. Too early is eager, too late is gone, and the calm one is in the middle. Build your on-beat count and pull the wave card.
The thing is going either way. The move is what you did about it.
The skill is the refusal to rush the leaving - and the refusal to be late to it.
About Squirrel Waving
Squirrel Waving is the calm goodbye before the thing sweeps you away - the quiet little wave while the tornado is coming, the "I saw him leave and I was still standing there" move. It went viral as the reaction gesture for the moment something is going and you are not chasing it. The game is a reflex test: hit the wave on the calm beat, not too eager, not too late.
How to Play
Six goodbyes, each a thing that is just leaving. A marker sweeps left to right across the track and you press the wave button the moment it crosses the green band. In the band is the on-beat - it counts and builds your streak. Left of the band is eager, right is gone, and both break the streak. The speed of the sweep changes each round, so the timing is the skill, not the speed.
The Card
Your on-beat count, your best streak, and your wave read - the "I was still standing there when it went" card, built for the goodbye that was not a loss, just the moment you decided to wave instead of run.
