Son Meme Guide

The "he is my son" that is not about a son.

Where it came from: the Son meme is the "he is my son" reaction line, built around Anthony Mackie clips where the delivery is so deadpan that the phrase lands like a whole little story. It is not about fatherhood. It is the "I saw this and now I am claiming him" move - the strong, flat statement that takes over the person in front of you and names them yours.

How it works: the joke is the confidence. A normal claim needs evidence; the Son line is the claim so strong it does not ask permission. It is used when something in front of you is a little unhinged, a little committed, a little too much - and instead of reacting, you just adopt them on the spot. The strength of the line is the joke, not the words.

The game: the Son judge drops a statement and you have three seconds to call it - a real Son claim (the deadpan, the commitment) or the joke version (the one that is leaning on the meme). Then you rate how hard it landed. End with your Son-sense card.
