Salt Walking
Pour the salt. Walk the tray barefoot. Bank the calm, count the warnings.
Salt Walking - the TikTok sleep trend as a game: pour Epsom salt on the tray, walk it barefoot, and watch your relaxation climb while the doctor's warning in the corner gets louder.
Comfort ritual, health costume, honesty on the card.
SALT
About Salt Walking
Salt walking is the pre-sleep TikTok trend: lay Epsom salt - the pink or white magnesium crystals - out on a tray and walk on it barefoot, claiming it calms the body and helps you fall asleep. It spread fast, and sleep experts answered directly: there is no evidence the salt does anything for sleep, and the crystals can irritate or sting skin, more so with any little break in it.
How to Play
Play an insomniac at 3:40 AM. Tap the shaker to pour the salt, then tap and drag across the tray to walk it barefoot. Each step banks a chunk of relaxation. As your relaxation climbs, the doctor's warning in the corner pops up and gets more insistent - "no scientific basis", "may irritate your skin" - because the more calm you claim, the more the disclaimer earns its keep.
The Report Card
Finish and you get three numbers: your step count (the effort), your relaxation score (the felt calm), and your scientific credibility (a deliberately low, honest rating). The card is the joke - a very relaxed insomniac stamped "scientifically dubious" - and it is built to be screenshotted.
