How a Brand Name Becomes a Sentence
The letters are the same. The meaning is not. That gap is the whole joke.
The trick: take the letters of a phrase - "Subway" - and read them as a sentence: "sub had a way". The letters never changed. What changed is the grouping. The humor lives in that regrouping, and in the second where your brain catches up.
Why brand names are the best source: a brand name is a fixed letter pool with no meaning attached to the pool. "Subway" as a sandwich shop means one thing; "sub had a way" means something else entirely. The fixed pool plus the new grouping is the format's engine.
The reassembly rhythm: in the game, the letter row is scrambled. You tap letters in order to rebuild the target sentence. The first rebuild is slow - you are reading. By the third, you are pattern-matching, and the card prints your fastest clean rebuild.
