How to Build the Grrr Meter

The meter is the dread. The taps are the release. Reading the stages is what tells you how much Monday is still in you.

Four growl stages

The grrr meter does not jump straight to a howl. It climbs through four stages: a low grumble under a quarter, a real grrr at the half mark, a sharp snarl past three quarters, and the full Monday howl at the top. Each stage is a louder version of the same sound - the Ted bear doing the exact same growl you are feeling about the week.

Why the streak is the only fast way out

A single tap adds a little grrr and takes it away just as little. That is the point - you cannot tap once and call the week fine. The meter only drains quickly when your taps keep a streak alive, a few in fast succession. Break the streak and the grrr creeps back up. So the skill is not how hard you tap, it is whether you can keep the momentum going through the top of the meter.

The peak is the badge

Your highest stage reached is what the card prints as your peak grrr. Hitting the full howl means you had a genuinely heavy Monday and you roared it down. A card that stops at the snarl is the "I was okay, barely" version - which is also a thing, and the reason people keep the quiet ones too.
