Glazing Meter

A praise lands. Drag to how far it slid off target.

Six lines of praise, each one a compliment in the wild. Slide the meter to the level it is doing - on target, sliding, off the ledge, or full glaze - then lock it. Land in the right band and it is a hit. End with your glaze card.

When the praise stops pointing, it is glazing.

Read the Point Behind the Shine
A line of praise lands. Does it name a thing, or just the shine? On target names a real thing. Off the ledge has no point behind it. Set the meter, then lock.
Your Glaze Read

on target = names a thing · sliding = a little extra · off the ledge = no point behind it · full glaze = just the shine

About Glazing

Glazing is praise that has crossed into over the top - the compliment that slides off the subject and keeps going, the "no, I am not that great, you are glazing" read. It leans on glaze, the thin coat that makes a thing look like more than it is. The whole skill is the line between a compliment that names a thing and a shine with no point behind it.

How to Play

Six lines of praise, each one a compliment in the wild. Drag the meter to the level it is doing - on target, sliding, off the ledge, or full glaze - then lock. Land inside the right band and it counts. End with your glaze card and how many times you felt the shine before it stopped pointing.
